It's no surprise then, that bike manufacturers have begun to create a brilliant range of full suspension bikes for use by kids, following the same designs and technology as adults full suspension mountain bikes.

Although there are incredibly cheap full suspension kids bikes for sale, these bikes are not true full suspension bikes - with the suspension usually being for show purposes only, with no travel in it. These cheaper full suspension bikes, usually also weigh an absolute ton - so performance of any kind on these bikes is massively restricted. It’s very tempting, when parting with a lot of money to skip buying a kid’s bike - and purchase an adult bike instead. There are however, a few problems with this - junior bikes are designed to be ridden by junior’s, meaning their geometry has been amended and adapted for smaller bodies, hands and legs - making a more comfortable journey. Choosing an adults bike for a junior rider, is more than likely going to result in an uncomfortable ride, which ruins confidence - with the rider feeling like they are riding a bike, which is far too big for them.
