The popularity of the E Gravel bike and E Road bike has soared in recent years, but up until very recently these electric-assisted alternatives have suffered from the usual e-bike downsides. Traditionally, ebikes tend to be a lot heavier than non-electric bikes, and when not under constant power, they are very difficult to pedal due to the motor's resistance. The new Scott Solace eRide uses the TQ HPR50 ebike system which addresses both of these issues, leading to a lightweight ebike that can be ridden like a normal bike.

So, is the Solace eRide a Gravel E bike or a E bike road bike? The answer is that it is both. The frame on both versions is identical, the difference between the models is what components are fitted as standard. This makes the Scott Solace a very versatile bike that can be tweaked to suit either tarmac or gravel with a quick change of tyres.
