Orbea Wild LT With DJI Avinox

The outgoing Orbea Wild 2026 model was an already proven platform, blending the Spanish brand’s iconic smooth, stylish design with cutting edge suspension kinematics and geometry. The tried and tested Bosch Performance Line CX motor system provided the power, cementing the Orbea Wild eBike platform as one of the best in the marketplace, not only for performance but also reliability.

So how do you improve on such a good product?

It’s no secret that Chinese drone gurus, DJI, have entered into the world of eBike motors and their emergence has certainly caused a stir in the media. The new DJI Avinox system boasts some of the most impressive figures around on paper, with up to 1500W of power and 150Nm of torque.

Orbea have tweaked the power output with their RS tune, taking the peak power output of 1500W on the standard Avinox M2S bikes, and reduces it down to 750W, but at the same time makes the system much more responsive. The result leaves you with more than enough power, but gives you more control and more traction than the default tune, making it a more capable bike. If at any point you do need to up the power output, Superboost mode can be activated to provide 1300W of power and 150Nm of torque for up to 60 seconds.

Another benefit of the DJI Avinox system is that the motor is exceptionally quiet with all three systems (M2S, M2, and M1) having a sound pressure level of less than 45 dBA, making it the quietest eBike motor available at the time of release.

The frame of the new Orbea Wild LT has been given some attention as well as the motor overhaul, working closely with the FMD race team to take what they’ve learned on the Rallon to improve the ride. Mass is kept low and central to keep the bike balanced and composed resulting in more predictable handling on the rougher descents. These design choices, along with their proprietary RS tune on the Avinox M2S go hand-in-hand to produce the focus of the 2027 Orbea Wild eBike range: more control.

The Wild LT is available in both carbon framed and alloy framed versions which gives a large amount of choice when picking out the perfect model for your riding style, and the Alloy models also offer some more budget-friendly selections.

The new frame has been created with longevity and reliability firmly in mind and as such has been fitted with fully sealed bearings throughout all of the pivots, and gravity orientated componentry has been equipped as standard so you can jump on and focus on the trail ahead without any worries.

Orbea's RS Tune

As mentioned previously, Orbea have applied their own firmware to alter the ride characteristics of the Avinox M2S system which increases responsiveness; ideal for technical climbs. Traction is improved by limiting the power output, but making it instantly available makes the Orbea Wild LT climb much more naturally, with the system responding to your inputs much more quickly than the standard tune.

Mechanically, the system remains the same as on all other Avinox M2S bikes, and the RS tune is available across the whole Wild LT range, including the H20 models which use the Avinox M2 motor.

Another benefit of the RS system combines the functionality of all of your electronic components, integrating motor control, ride data, suspension control and smart dropper functions into a system powered by a single, central battery.

The Wild has always been a staff and customer favourite for the value and ride that the range offers, but with the new model, the Orbea Wild Avinox pairing has elevated this model even further. The new platform keeps all of the best parts of the Orbea Wild 2026 and improves on it to put together one of the best all-round packages available with prices starting at only £4899 for the Avinox M2 equipped H20 models.
