A pair of performance bike wheels are arguably one of the most significant upgrades that you can look to carry out if you're seeking an immediate performance boost. Westbrook Cycles has available a huge range of carbon, aluminium & titanium wheelsets from the biggest brands in the industry - shop for the latest bike wheels with us to ensure you'll always have the edge on the roads. The two main types of wheels we supply are road bike wheels and mountain bike wheels. These wheels can be made from a number of different materials, with the most popular being carbon wheels - most often used on road bikes, and aluminium wheels We supply a wide range of wheels, spares, and hub spares, including complete wheelsets.

At Westbrook Cycles, we are proud to supply an excellent range of bike components - suitable for customers looking to upgrade certain components on their bikes, as well as for those customers looking to custom build their bike - be it a road bike, mountain bike, cyclocross bike, commuter bike or a BMX. All of our team members have extensive experience in all elements of cycling and as such, are able to advise on the suitability and features of any components you are considering purchasing.

One of the most important, and popular components with our customers are bike cassettes. These components are one of the most important components on a bike, and make a massive difference in regards to bike efficiency, which translates to speed and most importantly - the enjoyment which can be gained from riding a bike.

A Cassette on a bike is located at the rear hub of the bike - and is a collection of sprockets. These cassettes provide a number of gears for the rider to use on their bike - changing between the gears on the cassette allows the rider to enjoy maximum pedalling efficiency and forward momentum.

This is illustrated by being able to choose a lower gear when cycling up large hills - with the lower gearing providing an easier gear for climbing. Larger sockets provide greater choice of gears available whilst cassettes with a lower number of sprockets will provide maximum torque - meaning high speeds and sections of downhill are managed easier. Choosing the right Cassette for most is a balancing act - and the key is to find a cassette with the right amount of gears for a wide range of cycling, allowing both uphill and downhill sections to be enjoyed.

Mountain Bike Cassettes are some of the most popular components that we supply, and these cassettes typically have a greater number of sprockets and gears - allowing the rider to tackle a wide range of up and down terrain. Road Bike Cassettes are smaller than mountain bike cassettes in most cases, whilst still enabling the cyclist to tackle a wide variety of gradients.

If you have any questions about the right size cassette for your bike - please do just get in touch and we will be more than happy to help out wherever we can. All of our team members have extensive experience and knowledge across all bike components - so can provide the right advice and products for your exact requirements.
