At Westbrook Cycles, alongside stocking and supplying the full range of Scott mountain bikes, we also support our customers who have bought from us before, by stocking and supplying an incredibly comprehensive range of Scott mountain bike parts and components. One of the biggest and most important products within this line up, is Scott mountain bike forks.

Customers looking to replace the forks on their Scott mountain bikes usually fall into one of two categories, customers who want to replace broken or damaged forks with the fork that the bike was fitted with when they bought it. In this case, we are usually able to supply these customers with the exact fork their bike currently has.

The second group of customers browsing for new forks for their mountain bikes, are customers looking to upgrade this component - looking for increased performance from their front suspension. It’s true that front suspension forks are amongst the biggest upgrade you can make to your mountain bike, and we deal with customers riding both full suspension mountain bikes and hardtail mountain bikes manufactured by Scott, who are looking for more.

The first way of narrowing down what mountain bike fork you need, is looking at your wheel size - as mountain bike forks are available in different sizes which fit different wheel sizes. Fork diameter size is also a key measurement to take, to make sure new forks fit. (If you have any questions about mountain bike fork sizing, you can get in touch and we can help)

Once you have found the right size to fit your bike, you then need to look at the amount of travel that you require, and what amount of travel would best suit your riding requirements. The less travel you have, the less the fork moves - so if you are riding cross country, a lightweight fork which provides say 100mm of movement would be perfect, but would be useless if you were screaming down trails and tracks, where a heavy hitting 200mm travel suspension fork is required.

Regardless of whatever you require from your Scott Mountain Bike, we have the right mountain bike forks to fit your bike - you can view the full range here, alternatively, you can get in touch with us directly to discuss your requirements in further detail.
