Teravail
Teravail was founded in 2015 and are based in Bloomington, Minnesota as part of the QBP family which includes Surly Bikes and Salsa Cycles. As with it’s two sister companies, Teravail has a focus on gravel bikes, touring, and bikepacking although rather than creating complete bikes, components and tyres are the focus here.
Teravail tyres have been developed with comfort and performance in mind, aimed for when your cycling takes you off the perfect tarmac and out into the wilderness. A rider favourite is the Teravail Rutland, which is designed for those who like to fit and forget their tyres, rather than tailoring them to every ride. It offers low rolling resistance from tightly spaced center lugs, but provides plenty of grip for cornering with its wider spaced shoulder lugs.
Gravel racers need to check out the Teravail Cannonball which is designed for excellent rolling efficiency due to its clever directional tread pattern. The Cannonball is available in sizes up to 47mm, which is perfect for the modern gravel bike world, and provides great comfort and further enhances rolling efficiency.
Fans of bikepacking are catered for with the Ehline, which is perfectly matched to this purpose as well as cross country mountain biking. A selection of components, including the Swale handlebar, have also been developed for bikepacking, to enhance your off-road adventures. Adding the Swale bar to your bikepacking bike gives a large, comfortable backsweep and a wide clamping zone for carrying handlebar bags.
Teravail products are for those looking for more than just a ride on the tarmac. They are for adventurers and riders who aren’t concerned about the terrain ahead, the multi-day riders looking to chalk up experiences. Gravel bikers and mountain bikers alike will benefit from the comfort and performance of Teravail tyres and components.
