V4Rs
The Colnago V4Rs is a carbon road bike built with speed in mind. Developed by pro riders, including 2024 World Champion Tadej Pogačar, the V4Rs represents the fastest road race bike that the Italian company have ever produced.
The Colnago V4Rs frameset features a monocoque carbon fibre construction, built to be lightweight but retain stiffness. The frame has also been made to be more robust than previous iterations, with particular attention being paid to areas that are likely to suffer an impact, such as seatstays. The design of the frame also improves the bike's overall aerodynamics, requiring fewer Watts to maintain speed; crucial in the latter portions of a race.
The V4Rs frameset has a 3% saving aerodynamically over the previous V3Rs, which can save riders 13.2 Watts at 50KPH. A lot of this is acheived through improved integration, including the CC.01 handlebars which reduces frontal area significantly.
Geometry on the Colnago V4Rs is race orientated, so it features a longer reach and shorter chainstays than other models in the Colnago stable. The head tube angle has been tweaked to improve handling, particularly when at speed, and when sprinting.
The V4Rs frameset is exclusively built with electronic groupsets in mind, which allows these carbon road bikes to maintain a sleek look and the removal of mechanical cable runs ensures a lighter frame overall. All cables and hoses are ran internally through the handlebars and frame to present a clean, uncluttered appearance.
Anyone looking for an ultra-competitive road race bike fit for a world champion should have the V4Rs on their shopping list. Modern geometry and aerodynamics, built from high-tech materials, make this carbon road bike a sure-fire contender for the podium.
