These hardtail bikes have been designed and manufactured to provide excellent performance off-road, allowing the rider to make rapid progress across all kinds of terrain. Much lighter than full suspension mountain bikes, the use of carbon fibre within the Giant range can see this collection of bikes weigh incredibly little, making them great for speed freaks.

As well as being lighter than full suspension bikes, they are also easier to maintain - and cheaper to buy. There are some downsides however, mainly comfort off road, with the absence of a rear shock, unsurprisingly reducing some off road comfort. As well as still being good off-road, Giant Hardtails are also useful on the commute, or during adventure riding - where their efficiency allows for satisfactory progress on the roads.
