At Westbrook Cycles, we stock and supply an excellent range of alloy and aluminium mountain bikes. Aluminium and different alloys are one of our best selling mountain bike frame materials, and we supply both aluminium hardtail mountain bikes and aluminium full suspension mountain bikes.

This frame material is one of the most tried and tested bike materials - with aluminum bike frames being used for decades. There are many reasons why aluminium is a popular choice for mountain bikes - the first of which being the lightweight properties of aluminium. To provide some comparison, steel is three times heavier than aluminium. Although carbon fibre is the lightest frame material to use, the differences in the weight of aluminium bikes and carbon fibre bikes makes almost no difference to recreational riders.

The benefits of choosing an alloy mountain bike continue, with aluminum being amongst the most affordable frame materials to purchase. Aluminium is also very resistant to rust, so is the ideal frame choice for those riding in wet weather conditions.

Performance wise, aluminium provides a very stiff frame choice, providing a dynamic and responsive handling mountain bike, which provides quick and stable performance. You can view our complete range of aluminium and alloy mountain bikes here - and if you have any questions about the collection - please get in touch and we will be happy to provide any further information you need.
