Mountain bikes, and road bikes too for that matter - often require an aggressive cycling position, which can become uncomfortable on the commute. Some of these urban bikes feature front suspension forks, although these forks do not have a massive range of travel within them. More often than not, urban bikes have no suspension, just solid forks and frame, as aside from the odd bump in the road suspension is not necessary.
