This is the new and improved version of Assos' Trail Steinadler Jacket; the T5.
A lightweight off-road jacket for high-intensity riding in cool, wet, and variable conditions, updated with increased breathability, reflectivity, and a streamlined construction that stows in a backpack or frame bag.
Behind the product:
With a forward panel of windproof, water-repellent Breaker textile and a rear panel of ultrabreathable Yubari, the revised STEINADLER T5 balances weatherproof protection with microclimate management. This construction prevents overheating and the accumulation of internal moisture, giving the STEINADLER three-season versatility across a wide range of conditions. For touring and ultra-endurance racing, the lightweight construction compresses for storage in a backpack or bike bag, ensuring you're always prepared for changing weather.
Featured Fabrics:
The body textile, Breaker, provides a windproof shield with DWR treatment to repel water. It's also incredibly light at just 35g/m², so it packs down to a tight, small bundle. Type.718 is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and water-repellent – a lighter version of the textile featured on our TACTICA Cargo Shorts, ideal for layering over jersey sleeves. Panels of Yubari adapted from the ALLEYCAT Clima Capsule add breathability to less exposed areas and increase overall elasticity for a streamlined fit.
Construction/Fit:
The TACTICA T5 mobility-enhancing fit is less aggressive than our racingFit, balancing streamlined, low-volume aerodynamics with full-motion comfort and less restriction out of the saddle.
Reflective Detailing:
Reflective elements on the shoulders and lower back increase visibility in the low-light, overcast conditions when wind and rain protection are most valuable.
When/How To Use It:
Combine with the TACTICA KIESKÄFER Bib Shorts T5 and TACTICA Jersey T5 for trail and gravel riding in cool, wet conditions.
