We saw an opportunity to increase comfort and decrease weight without impacting compressive performance or aerodynamic properties. Targeted increases in stretch and support let us further dial the aerodynamics and compression while reducing pressure on sensitive areas, and the new construction dries faster, limiting perspiration’s ability to add weight by soaking into the textiles.
FEATURED FABRICS
The woven Type.701kompressor textile is unique to the EQUIPE RSR S9 bib shorts. It’s defined by compressive support, friction-free comfort, and abrasion resistance though it also resists UV rays (UPF 50+) and odor while actively cooling. Ossidia inserts complement Type.701’s compressive support with targeted stretch in sensitive areas, enabling a true second-skin fit without sacrificing comfort.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT
The fastest silhouette in our catalog, aeroFit maximizes aerodynamic speed while prioritizing comfort. It includes a slightly longer leg than bib shorts in our racingFit EQUIPE RS and regularFit MILLE GT lines.
ENGINEERING
- A-Lock Engineering: Our rollBar bib straps, modified ergoBox, and one-piece Butterfly panel join forces as your weight transfers in the saddle, ensuring frictionless comfort and stability during high-output efforts.
- Carbon Xbib: An A-frame suspension design that limits vertical stretch in the rear, ensuring a confident fit and stabilizing the chamois. Dual-face Carbon material reduces drying time compared to the previous, single-side applications.
- SkinGrip: Compressive leg bands and silicone grip keep the cuffs and leg panels secure, providing compressive support across the thigh with minimal transitional ridges between skin and shorts.

- An updated insert that’s lighter, increases cooling, and features a minimized footprint. The odor-resistant microfiber topsheet returns in the 3D basalt colorway, which pays homage to the lava stone that gives us with strength, stability, and courage.
- Shock-Absorb Damping System Mono 9: Compressive foam materials in a 9mm racing platform with 3D Waffle inserts to shed grams and increase airflow. Thermoformed shaping reduces ridges and irritation.
- goldenGate: The stitching pattern anchors the front and back but lets the insert’s body float, allowing the chamois to move with your body rather than against it.
