• DT Swiss have raised the bar in wheel design and have introduced the very innovative RR1450 Tricon road wheels
• The wheels have a fully sealed tubeless rim (so no need for sealant!)
• Straight pull spokes
• Unique boat spoke mounts in rims
• Three piece bonded hubs, preventing any loading onto the sealed bearings
• 20 mm wide rims that are road tubeless
• The rims are completely sealed on the inside, theres no need for rim tape, sealant or strips
• Wheels use a concave rim profile which counters the very high spokes tension which these wheels use to significantly improve the lateral stiffness
• The Tricon hubs are made from three separate pieces
• The hub shell is quite thin where as the flanges are separately machined and beefed up to handle the spoke tension stresses
• The hub flanges are bonded to the shell and by having them separate it means the higher spoke tension that is pulling on the spokes, does not affect the bearings within the main shell
• The hubs use the highly reliable and easily serviceable DT Swiss star ratchet system

The DT Swiss brand began in 1994 through a management buyout from Marco Zingg, Maurizio D'Alberto and Frnnk Bockmann, who remain today as the three owners of the company. The company started out specialising in spoke production and quickly became known for their range of famous Hugi Hubs, still a favourite around the world today. After this, the DT Swiss Cycling brand really kicked off, and began operating in the USA and expanded its range to include rims, wheels and suspension forks. Now, the brand is becoming a market leader in carbon products, which has made the DT Swiss Cycling brand a firm favourite.
