Elite Crono Mag ElastoGel Trainer CRONO MAG from Elite is a magnetic-type training roller with five different constant-speed resistance levels.
It is possible to variate the effort with a remote lever that is fixed to the handlebar (fits bar diameters from Ø 25.4 to Ø 31.8 mm) with a clamp that has a quick release.
The resistance on the CRONO MAG is generated by powerful magnets placed on the flywheel and two discs that cross its magnetic field.
The big flywheel, whose weight reaches 1700 gr., offer an inertia that can make the pedalling round and progressive which coincides with the change in the resistance level.
Crono Mag has the Elastogel roller, this gives a greater adherence to the tyre, with a subsequent decrease of 50% of the noise compared to a trainer with an aluminium roller, it also has a decrease of 20% in tyre wear.
Another very important innovation of the Crono Mag is the frame, with its compass structure that allows it to move the load on the resistance unit in function of the weight and the position of the athlete, differently from what happens with a classic kind of frame, where such load is pre-determined by a constant load mechanic system.
