Cyclocross Racing combines sections of quick on road and off road cycling - covering everything from mud and sand, to tarmac and packed surfaces. First arriving in continental Europe - cyclocross races are fast and furious events. The speed required during these races mean that a cyclocross bike is very similar in design to a road bike, but with a few key differences. The tyres, geometry, brakes, gears, pedals and other components are all designed to tackle off road work, as well as road work.

The frames on these bikes have increased clearance for tyres on the frameset - allowing riders to run larger tyres. As well as allowing larger tyres to be run, this extra clearance also keeps the bike running free from build-ups of mud and stones.

As well as boasting extra clearance, these bikes also have a relaxed frame geometry - helping provide the perfect platform for soaking up the bumps, stresses and strains of off road riding.
