At Westbrook Cycles, we stock and supply a fantastic range of Brake Calipers, covering Disc Brake Calipers as well as Calipers for regular Caliper Brakes. Many customers come to us looking to replace their standard caliper brake on their road bike with something new.

On this page you will find direct mount caliper brakes, alongside regular caliper brakes - which is a worthwhile upgrade to make. Standard/regular caliper brakes attach via a single bolt onto the frame of the bike or the fork, direct mount caliper brakes allows the brake mechanism to pivot, with two bolts attaching the brake to the bike. This double bolt fixing offers extra power and stiffness, thanks to the two mounting points.

If you are replacing Brake Calipers on your bike, ensure that you select a brake caliper which your bike can take. In recent years, with bike tyres becoming wider and thicker - on dropping your wheel out of your bike, your wheel can snag on the brake caliper - that’s why most modern brake calipers now have a little cam-lever which opens up to allow the wheel to be removed.

Some of the most popular products within the range are the Shimano Dura-Ace collection - which work well on a range of bikes. If you have any questions about the range, or which brake caliper will fit your bike, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
