The brand-new Sidi Genius 10 Women's road shoe offers all the same technical features as Sidi's popular Genius 10, in a shape designed to hug women's feet. It is more tapered than the men's model, with less volume over the instep, a narrower heel cup and a narrower fit over the ball of the foot. All of this will ensure that women will enjoy the same efficiency of power transfer during a sprint as the male cyclists do, along with the comfort required for long hours on the bike.
The Carbon Composite 20 sole is made from nylon injected with carbon fibre, so it's light, stiff and will maintain that stiffness over time. Correct cleat alignment is essential to ensuring optimum power transfer whilst out riding, so the sole features a graduated central section around the three-bolt fitting that facilitates easy and precise cleat installation.
Made from Microfibre Microtech, the Genius 10 Women's upper is designed to be light, but also offer plenty of coverage for cooler days or riding in poor conditions. It's made with water-based products rather than solvents, which means less noxious emissions are released into the atmosphere during production. For improved walkability and added longevity, the sole also includes a replaceable heel pad.
Sidi's iconic Soft Instep Closure-4 strap is present and correct on the Genius 10 Women's shoe, giving an inimitable connection with the pro peloton. It has an adjustable ratchet and, when paired with the Tecno-3 Dial, allows you to adjust the closure and fit on both sides of the shoe to suit the shape of your instep. A second Tecno-3 Dial allows for precise adjustment on the lower section of the shoe and furthers its clean and unfussy look.
